The first Ute to win the Morris Trophy, Lotulelei was also named first-team All-Pac 12 as selected by the Conference head coaches.  He finished the regular season with 38 tackles, including a team-best 9.0 tackles-for-loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks. Lotulelei and the Utah defensive limited the opposition to 97.0 rushing yards per game while allowing a league-best 2.9 yards per carry. The Utes also topped the Pac-12 in red zone defense (74.3%), which contributed to a league-best 19.7 points allowed per game. Like the 2009 and 2010 winner is from Tonga. He was taken by Carolina in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft and has been with the Panthers for his entire NFL career.
